Binance Charity to Airdrop

In response to the devastation caused by the recent Typhoon Yagi in Northern Vietnam, Binance Charity will airdrop up to $1 million in BNB to registered Binance users identified as living in the areas affected by the tragedy.

Identification of impacted users will be based on their POA (proof-of-address) information indicating that they reside in one of the 25 cities in Northern Vietnam that have suffered the most significant impact.

Users who have completed POA before September 10, 2024, in these 25 cities will receive $50 worth of BNB directly to their Binance accounts. Furthermore, understanding that not all affected users might have completed their POA by the stipulated date, Binance Charity will airdrop $20 worth of BNB to existing users in the region who have registered before September 10, 2024, and will have completed the POA from September 10, 2024, to September 30, 2024 (both dates inclusive).

The first batch of donations will start reaching the beneficiaries’ accounts on September 16, 2024.

Binance CEO Richard Teng said: “We’d like to send our sincere condolences to those who are impacted by the devastating typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. We hope that our efforts can bring some relief to those affected. We stand in solidarity with the community members and hope the community can recover from this disaster soon.”

Binance Charity previously launched several philanthropic initiatives in Vietnam, including saltwater filtration systems and medical supplies donations to help mitigate some issues the people there have been facing.

Binance Charity To Airdrop

Binance Charity has announced that it will airdrop up to $1 million in Binance Coin (BNB) to support users affected by Typhoon Yagi in Vietnam. The initiative aims to provide immediate financial relief to those in the impacted regions, helping them rebuild and recover from the devastation caused by the typhoon.

This humanitarian effort is part of Binance’s ongoing commitment to leveraging blockchain technology for social good. The use of cryptocurrency in this case ensures that aid is distributed quickly and transparently to those in need, bypassing traditional intermediaries and reducing delays.

The airdrop will target Binance users in the regions most affected by the typhoon, providing them with direct assistance through their Binance accounts. The specific distribution criteria and exact amount each user will receive have not been fully detailed yet, but the total aid amount could reach up to $1 million.

This move highlights the growing role of blockchain and cryptocurrency in global disaster relief efforts, offering innovative ways to provide assistance in times of crisis.

In this difficult moment, Binance stands by our users and community.

To receive the Binance Charity airdrop for Typhoon Yagi relief, affected users in Vietnam need to meet certain eligibility criteria. Here’s how the process typically works based on similar past initiatives:

1. Eligibility Verification

  • Location-based eligibility: Binance will likely identify users based on their registered addresses or geolocation data in the regions impacted by Typhoon Yagi.
  • Binance Account: Users must have a verified Binance account to receive the airdrop. This means they need to have completed the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process on Binance.

2. Airdrop Announcement

  • Binance will announce the details of the airdrop, including which regions and criteria will qualify users for receiving BNB tokens.
  • Notifications may be sent to affected users through email, SMS, or in-app alerts, informing them of the assistance and what they need to do, if anything.

3. Receiving the Airdrop

  • Automatic Airdrop: In many cases, Binance sends the airdrop directly to eligible users’ Binance wallets. This means users don’t have to take any additional steps to receive the BNB tokens.
  • Check Wallet: Users can monitor their Binance Spot Wallet for the credited BNB. They will see the airdrop reflected in their balance automatically.

4. Using the Funds

  • The BNB tokens can be withdrawn or used on the Binance platform, such as trading or converting them into other currencies.
  • Binance may provide guidelines or suggestions on how to use the funds, including converting them to local currency or using them for essential services.

5. Support

  • In case of any issues or confusion, Binance typically offers customer support and an FAQ section for users impacted by natural disasters, assisting them in understanding how to access and utilize their airdropped tokens.

Binance may also provide more detailed guidance as the airdrop process unfolds, but generally, it is designed to be straightforward for users in affected areas.
